My Family’s Portrait Session in my home studio.
This is us. My small, yet sweet, family. We had not had an extended family picture done since before my mother passed away and my oldest was probably about the same age as my youngest is here now. So, it was time for an extended family photo shoot.
I am beyond blessed with my amazing brother and father. They are my rocks when my husband is away and are regular baby sitters for me when I need them. They make me smile and are always finding ways to cheer me up when life gets me down.
My girls adore their grandpa and their uncle, and so does the dog!! My brother is also my pet sitter when we are away so I don’t have to find a dog kennel for my dog-reactive fur baby, Wizard. Mike is always up for playing with the kids, and catches so many amazing photos and videos of them to share with me! I honestly don’t know what I would do without these guys!
My husband is the typical “I’m not going to smile” husband! He always has the straightest of faces and hates having his portrait taken. (So, he buys his portrait loving wife a DSLR and says “go for it” when I get the crazy idea to start a photography company! God love him!) But he’s game for at least being in the portraits, so we have ones to look back on and smile.
In studio extended family photo shoot with a self timer!
I was so happy with how these turned out. Considering these were taken with a tripod and a timer, they turned out quite well! I photographed us in my home studio, and was able to get some portraits with me with my family! I’ve come so far in my photographic journey that this honestly impresses me and brings me joy!
I am filled with joy that my family has these portraits to look back on years from now with fond memories, the same way we look back on the last family portraits we had with my mom. Do not wait to get the portraits done. The best time is right now, with everyone you love. Reach out to me via my contact page and we will set something up!
