Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! We celebrated with a Mother’s Day Photo Shoot!
I wanted to start off my spring season with some Mother’s Day photo sessions. Far too many times, moms are the ones taking the photos and very seldom are they in the photos. Hence why there’s many posts that circulate on social media that beg the men to take the photos of us with our kids, but they either don’t see the little moments or we as moms have made some kind of comment regarding our looks in photos so don’t share them, even if he’s taken the photos. Because of this, I wanted to take the time to ensure moms got some photos of the kids and of them with their kids!
My first clients of the day were thankfully very patient with me. I managed to set off the alarm at the studio and proceeded to sweat afterwards as I worked through the overwhelm in my head!! Luckily, the kids were in good moods and mom was super patient with me!! This trio honestly brought calm to my nerves!!
The kids were goofy but some of the looks were pretty sweet! Especially of the son looking up towards his big sister! She was awesome with her brother as well. She tried to help coax smiles out of him when he wanted to be silly and not smile!!
Memories of Mom
Meanwhile, mom was very relaxed. She got into a few of the photos with her children. After loosing my own mother suddenly, I realized just how few images I have of my own mother and I. It brings a certain sense of urgency to me. Because of this, I want to give my clients these memories of their own for the future. I want my clients’ children to be able to look back one day and see that mom was present and that mom was there.
It was a great session!! If you’d like to book a Mother’s Day photo shoot, feel free to reach out on my contact page! And my suggestion of something to do with mom on Mother’s Day? Check out the Muttart Conservatory! You can visit the pyramids and then stay for a tasty bite in the cafe!
