A mommy and me photo session featuring a mom and her three boys, all in varying colors of plaid.
It isn’t often that I get to photograph a mom and 3 sons. So, when this mom reached out to me for my Mommy and Me photo sessions for Mother’s Day, I couldn’t wait to get them in front of my camera!
These boys are wonderful little guys – they all have big hearts for their siblings and for those around them. I love being able to work with them. One of her boys has apraxia – which is a speech disorder that makes it difficult for a child to speak. Generally, the child has a good grasp of language and usually knows exactly what they’d like to say. They have difficulty carrying out the movements necessary for speech. More information on speech apraxia can be found here: www.apraxia-kids.org/apraxia_kids_library/what-is-childhood-apraxia-of-speech/ and some great information can also be found on Instagram @Joranfightingforyourvoice.
I feel so blessed that this guy was comfortable enough with me to get some wonderful photos. It is truly an honor to be able to work with families who may need extra time or patience when having their child’s photos taken.
Well Chosen Outfits
This mom chose plaid shirts in wonderfully complimentary colors for their session. I love how coordinated they all look, without looking matchy matchy. For more advice on what to wear, check out my blog post, What to Wear to my Photo Session. Choosing outfits that suit you and your family’s personalities is so important to loving the final product. It can leave you with images that you actually want to display.
The only complaint I’ve heard about this session was dad was missing from the images (as they were mommy and me sessions), so I’m hoping to have them back soon to get a complete family photo done! But for now, I’m enjoying reflecting back on the mom and 3 sons photo session!
Thanks for coming, Amanda!!
