This is us. My small, yet sweet, family. We had not had an extended family picture done since before my mother passed away and my oldest was probably about the same age as my youngest is here now.
I was beyond touched when I delivered the prints to mama. She was very moved by the photos, in particular, the one with her husband and daughter. I knew it had been a few years since this family had a photo session and her reaction filled my heart with joy. Knowing I get to provide my clients with memories and love and emotion is the reason I do what I do. She really gave me a gift that day by seeing the pure joy on her face.
Jensen definitely is in love with his mama and wouldn’t let her get too far away from him. He did not love my camera and took quite some time to warm up to the idea of having his photo taken. His mom explained that this was quite typical for him, so we had to try our best to work around the fact that he didn’t want me snapping his photo! He finally gave in and began to enjoy himself (handfuls of icing may have helped this!) and we ended up with some beautiful photos.
It isn’t often that I get to photograph three handsome boys, but when this mom reached out to me for my Mommy and Me photo sessions for Mother’s Day, I couldn’t wait to get them in front of my camera!

She is a natural in front of the camera and she exudes confidence. Always quick with a laugh, she has no problem pulling out the serious face when I asked her to. But even when looking serious, her eyes are always smiling.
This couple definitely enjoy each other’s company and are the best of friends. They were a joy to be around and were so comfortable in front of the camera. They were constantly laughing and making each other smile, telling little jokes to each other.
I have been blessed to do this family’s photos every year since the boys were as small as their sister is in these photos, and its been a blessing to watch this family grow.
